Shrimp listeria scare sparks French supermarket recall

Consumers warned not to eat store brand shrimp fritters.

French supermarket chain Casino has pulled a line of "Saveurs d’Ailleurs" branded shrimp fritters as a precautionary measure because of a listeria alert.

Packs weighing 140 grams containing 8 fritters have been withdrawn with consumers warned not to eat them and return them to the store where purchased for a refund.

The store brand products carry a bar code of: 3222477068551 with a consumption date of June 24.
