UK authorities are investigating a Scottish Salmon Company-operated fish farm following the release of a Scottish Salmon Watch video exposing alleged foul conditions, reports STV News.

The footage shows "salmon abuse, suffering and cruelty," according to the anti-fish farming group.

"Fish health and welfare is fundamental to responsible salmon farming and intrinsic in our operations," the company said.

The Scottish Fish Inspectorate told STV it is investigating the complaint together with the UK Animal Plant Health Agency.
